Pigeon Softouch™ Peristaltic PLUS teat is highly acclaimed and the result of extensive research in latching, peristaltic movement and swallowing. With a wide neck design similar to breast shape, Pigeon SofTouch™ Peristaltic PLUS teats allows for seamless transition between breast and bottle. Featuring a textured surface for perfect latch on and good tongue position, the teat is firm, but soft and allows babies to use their natural feeding motion. Each has an Air Ventilation System (AVS) to support constant milk flow and help reduce colic. BPA and BPS free.

    Community Questions

    A: Silicone rubber
A: Sterilise via boiling, chemical or steam - microwave or electric steriliser.
A: We recommend that you get the cues to change size from your baby rather than the teat packet. Age recommendations for teats are very difficult because each baby develops at a different rate.
Consider moving up a size if -
    1. Your baby is fussing every time they feed. They may be getting frustrated as the flow of milk may not be fast enough or
    2. The teat is collapsing when your baby is drinking (and it’s not because there is a block). This can happen if your baby is sucking hard to get the milk out and it is not coming fast enough for them. A vacuum gets created, causing the teat to collapse.
A: SS and S teats have a round hole. If held upside down, milk will drip out. This is perfect for young babies whose jaw muscles are still developing. They don’t have to work too hard to get their milk.

M, L and LL teats all have a cross cut or Y shape hole. When held upside down, milk doesn't drip out, rather the baby needs to suck to get the teat to open. The harder they suck the more the milk flows and vice versa. These teats allow the baby to self regulate the flow of milk.
