Popular Kmart baby leggings recalled over safety concerns

Kmart has issued a recall for some of their popular baby leggings over safety fears.

The “Girls 2Pk Organic Roll Waist Leggings” in sizes from 00000 – 2 purchased between February 4 and July 3 2020 are affected.

The retail giant recalled the leggings because they feature decorative buttons that could become a choking hazard.

The product must be returned immediately to any Kmart store.

Safety concerns

An official notice on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) website says, “If the buttons detach, they are a choking and suffocation hazard if ingested by young children.”

Kmart Australia shared the announcement on Facebook, saying: “At Kmart, we take the quality and safety of our products very seriously.”

What should customers do?

All customers who have bought these leggings should stop using them and return them to any Kmart store for a full refund.
