I've found these thermometers to give the most accurate reading, but at the same time because they take time to give the reading and not very comfortable are a bit invasive whether you try to get a oral or under arm reading. So for convenience it's not ideal, but reading wise is usually spot on.

Good thermometer, easy to use, accurate, can't complain. Would recommend. Used this for multiple kids and have never had any issues. It is also a lot more affordable than other thermometers or ear thermometers. I have a few of these laying around/have had them for a few years and they always seem to work.

These are okay for the first little while, but then they stop working. It is really hard to get bub to sit still, so it is really hard to take and can mean doing it a few times. It is useful, however, if you are pregnant. They are really cheap which is useful when you are starting out, but if you can afford a different type, I would advise it.
