It’s a great idea! Buy cartridges that need to replaced are costly! And it seems like a rip off. I’m glad I tried it, the bin collects all the nappies. Each time you place a nappy in the bin you follow the arrows on the cartridge and turn the cartridge, then simply close the lid and the nappy is dropped into the bin twisted to secure it from smell and mess. Out of sight.
Once you re open the Lid it’s empty waiting for the next nappy. It’s easy to set up, underneath the bin lid you tie a part of the plastic from the cartridge to the section that shows the clip or hook that holds the start of the nappy chain, on the opposite side is a scissors symbol which is used to cut the plastic when you are ready to detach and take it to your outside bin.
I hope there’s an alternative way to save the cartridge and add plastic otherwise it’s quite expensive to use weekly.

I really like the idea of the bin. It’s convenient and locks in smells. But the replacement cartridges are expensive and has put me off from using it more. I am considering buying a refill kit so I don’t have to throw away the plastic cartridge when it empties and it’s better for my pocket too!

I received this nappy bin as a gift. The premise is good - twist the cartridge to keep in smells. It was reasonably effective at this.

However, the bin was awkward to use - too short to reach easily (I am barely average height) and can't be operated one-handed.

The replacement cartridges also cost a fortune and are terribly wasteful as you have to throw out the hard plastic part, not just the bag.

I replaced it with a Korbell when my bub was about 6 months old and just bought another Korbell for my second baby's room.
