What to do with baby clothes and furniture you no longer need
Babies outgrow their belongings in such a quick time, don’t they? Whether it’s a piece of clothing, a toy or their nursery furniture, some items just have a really short shelf life. We’re sharing our tips on what to do with baby clothes and furniture you no longer need.
There will be some occasions when parents might plan to have another child and have the space to store these items. Of course, this isn’t always the plan, or possible, and you might be wondering what else you can do with them.
Here are our tips!
WHAT TO DO WITH BABY CLOTHES AND FURNITURE YOU NO LONGER NEED:
1. Sell them
Selling off your baby and toddler items could help to fund the purchase of new ones!
You might organise a garage sale or sell online on eBay or Gumtree. If your local supermarket has a Notice Board, you can also advertise your baby items there.
2. Use Freecycle
Freecycle is a nonprofit organisation that allows you to give away your useable items for free to people in your own town. It helps to keep these items out of landfills.
3. Facebook Groups
The most popular social network with its tentacles spread far and wide across the globe. There are ample opportunities with many charitable organisations and social groups that would help to give away baby and toddler furniture and clothes that would be channeled to deserving children anywhere.
Most charitable organisations have a Facebook page and they can be easily accessed and arrangements made to give away any items you would like to dispose off.
Selecting the one you would like to give them away to and doing it would be one way of giving thanks to the one above.
