Q: The Advanced SICT touches the other seat or child, is this OK?

A: The Advanced SICT should only be wound out on the door side and should not interact with another passenger or another car seat.

Q: Do I need Advanced SICT if the seat is fitted in the centre position?

A: No. This is what makes our b-first range so great and versatile.
Why? Advanced SICT is specifically designed to crumple on impact and disperse large amounts of energy at a controlled rate. These kinds of forces are only seen on the impact side of the vehicle so there is no need to deploy Advanced SICT unless it is adjacent to a vehicle door.

Q: Is b-first safe if I don’t deploy the Advanced SICT?

A: Yes. The seat is certified with the Advanced SICT deployed and undeployed. For maximum protection unwind the Advanced SICT on the door side only.

Q: What is Crumple zone feature?

A: Crumple Zone is a "crash" term. In a car, it refers to the area of the car that crumples during an accident to help lower the crash forces during an impact. b-first's Advanced SICT is designed to crumple and lower the crash forces that your child will feel in a side collision.
