Introducing our fun new series: Play at Any Age
It turns out playing with your kids (yes, even your newborn!) is more than just fun and games.
That’s right, play helps with a child’s overall development, learning and wellbeing. Even an activity as simple as singing a song to your little one has a big impact on them: it helps you to bond, but also teaches them vital language and communication skills, while working on their social/emotional development too. And best of all, it’s fun!
The tricky part is knowing the types of activities, games and toys that are going to be best for your children at each age and stage. (Or maybe you’re just looking for some fresh ideas that don’t involve singing Twinkle Twinkle again …We get it!)

To help you out, Tell Me Baby and Fisher-Price have partnered to bring you a series all about play. Whether you have a newborn, older baby or a toddler, our article series really will have something for everyone! Drawing on the huge amount of research from the Fisher-Price Play Lab, we’ll be sharing games and activities that will help your baby reach developmental milestones – covering physical, cognitive, and social/emotional areas – all while having lots of fun.
