Images perfectly sum up the highs and lows of parenting
A mum from the Netherlands has perfectly summed up parenting in a series of illustrations.
Natasha shares her work on the Instagram page @heartilyart, and it’s hilariously accurate.
In fact, when you’re a parent, how you picture parenting in your head will turn out the complete opposite – and all you can do is laugh.
“Have you ever seen anything more accurate?”
A popular illustration shows a mum trying to take a walk with her baby and toddler. There’s only one problem (well, two), her toddler won’t walk and her baby won’t sit.
One mum said: “The main thing is you’re trying and they are outdoors 😊”
“Been there. a million times😂,” said another.
“Have you ever seen anything more accurate? Lmao,” chimed in another parent.
“Which tiny little noise wakes your baby up?”
Another post shows two similar scenarios: a baby sleeping through a mum vacuuming and making a lot of noise, and a baby waking up from a mum creeping quietly out of the room.
Natasha captioned the illustration saying: “Which tiny little noise wakes your baby up? Mine can’t sleep through the sound of a closing feeding bra.”
And parents couldn’t love this more.
“We have a labrador and a chihuahua that are loud and annoying af, the baby sleeps right through it. Step on that one floor board though and all hell breaks loose!” wrote one commenter.
Another said: “Yes!! The clip sound of my bra always gets my babies.”
“Haha love this one! My daughter loved the vacuum sound on the white noise machine when she was a baby,” added another.
