Mum gives birth to two sets of twins in the same year
A US mum has hit the jackpot, giving birth to two sets of twins in the same year.
After giving birth to twins last year, Alexzandria Wolliston surprised everyone when she fell pregnant again a few months later … with another set of twins.
“Oh, yes, I feel like I hit the twin lottery,” Alexzandria, who also has a three-year-old daughter, told NBC 12.
Sharing her story on YouTube before giving birth, Alexzandri said her first set of identical twin boys, Mark and Malakhi, were born in March 2019.
“I was being a little hot potato and I got pregnant again with my second set of twin boys,” she says.

Although the second set of twins were supposed to be born in 2020, Alexzandri explains that high blood pressure and high amounts of protein in her urine meant the babies were delivered early. So on December 27 at 34 weeks, Alexzandri became a mum of five.
Despite her babies being born early, Alexzandri said she was ready for them.
“My body is like, ‘take them out now!'” she said.
She added, “They weren’t supposed to come until 2020. My original due date was February 5. My doctor wanted to deliver me at 38 weeks. But now they are coming early and this is going to be my second set of twins born in the same year.
“How crazy is that. Who do you know has two sets of twins in the same year?”
