Community Questions

Q: My seat is fitted firmly, do I need to use the Top Tether?

A: Yes. You must always use the Top Tether. Refer to the instruction manual for an easy step by step guide.

Q: Why does the headrest have foam and the b-first CLICKTIGHT have plastic blow mould?

A: Every seat is different. The b-first ifix is designed to provide the most optimum safety performance with the feature set it provides.

Q: The Advanced SICT touches the door, is that safe?

A: The Advanced SICT should be wound out fully but should not contact the door. If the Advanced SICT is contacting the door simply wind it in to leave about 5 - 8mm clearance.
Why? When a car door is slammed shut it can travel past its intended ‘design’ closed position. This is called “over-travel”. If the Advanced SICT is wound out to make contact with the closed vehicle door, it is likely that if the car door is slammed it will come into contact with the Advanced SICT, potentially damaging the car door interior or leaving a mark on your child restraint.
