It is quite thin so it’s only beneficial for small spills or accidents. It could work for older children who don’t have too many accidents
It covers majority of the mattress area.
I would recommend spending a little
But more and getting a better quality mattress protector.

I bought this mattress protector because it is waterproof. It covers the whole mattress and has side walls rather than straps so stays in place. It is padded so is thicker than some mattress protectors. It is very easy to take on and off. The price is relatively cheap compared to other brands. It feels very cheap and sounds very plasticy.

You get what you pay for with this mattress protector, it’s very thin and covers most of the area you need, after a few washes it started to fall apart, it also sounded plasticly when sat on or moved around on which got annoying when sleeping at night as it kept waking her up
