The IKEA POÄNG Lysed Armchair is great and an affordable signature Ikea staple but it does not purport to be a nursing chair and I don’t think it is suitable for nursing either. The seat is too deep and it is tedious to keep a steady bounce going along to rock the baby. The wooden armrests are also a little too far apart and uncomfortable for resting your arms when nursing. When bubs was a little older, either her head or feet would keep bumping the hard wooden armrests too.

This chair is 100% necessary and helpful. I have had many restless baby moment soothed by using this chair to gentle bob and settle baby. It is so comfortable and calming, I didn’t want to get out of it when baby was asleep. Absolutely in love with this chair and would recommend to any new parent

Easy to set up from a flat pack. Looks great. Does the job of a simple seat to use while breastfeeding or reading a book. But if you're short like me, not comfortable at all because the base of the seat is SO wide and SO long you'll need at least 2x pillows for back support. Plus the arm rests are so low down my arms can't even reach them to rest on. I like how its low to the ground though. As you can see, it sticks out a lot from other furniture.
