My newborn baby had a bottle preference due to an undiagnosed tongue tie and he would not breastfeed. After using this for a couple of days and slowing removing it mid feed and eventually removing it completely my bottle fed baby became solely breastfed. It’s tricky to get set up and can’t be done quickly but this saved my breastfeeding journey and I can’t recommend highly enough.

Due to a low supply, bub absolutely hated feeding from the breast which in turn meant I had very underestimated breasts. After almost 2 weeks of use with the Medela SNS, my breasts are now being stimulated from bub happily drinking away without the fuss and my own supply is increasing. My lbclc has been helpful in showing how to set it up and position the tubing which has made it a bit easier. It is a bit fiddly especially at first but for my situation, it has been worth it. I use it with both formula or donor milk if I have it on hand. I have used the system with regular formula and donor milk.
The only other downside is that it's not exactly portable in the sense that you wouldn't wear it at the shops so for me if bub is super hungry I would have to still provide a bottle.

I have insufficient glandular tissue and would have to top up my babies feeds with formula as I just didn’t produce enough breastmilk. This was suggested to try keep my bubs interested in breastfeeding as she had to work harder to get Milk out with breastfeeding than with bottle feeding. The device was super expensive and I just found it so fiddly and impractical to use. I would have to set myself up before feeding and you couldn’t use this away from the house. Surely they could design something that you attach directly to you chest with a shorter cord to prevent tangles.
