This steriliser does exactly what’s expected of it, sterilises the items placed inside of it. It’s not fancy and it’s not exactly aesthetic but it’s cheap as chips, fit for purpose and packs away easily.

I have taken a star off the rating as it does remain quite hot for quite a while after sterilising so it can be tricky and almost dangerous to remove from the microwave too soon after it’s been used.

This sterilizer worked, but was incredibly large for our modest microwave. It was difficult to squeeze into the microwave, and it took a lot of effort to get in and out of it. It melted syringes and warped dummies. In the end, we used it on the bench as a covered dish with boiling water in it.

We didn’t want to spend a heap of money on a steriliser and wanted something easy we could use.

This has made it to 8 months so far, used multiple times daily. We use it for the pigeon bottles, spectra pump parts and a mixture of pacifiers.

The only downside is if you grab it too fast after it’s been in the microwave, the handle is very hot, and the steam valves could have been positioned further from the handles otherwise It packs away, cleans quickly and is simple for anyone to use.
