    The Explorer II harnessed to booster seat is a forward facing seat suitable for children from 6 months up to (approx.) 4 years of age with a built-in harness.

    From 4 years to 8 years you van use this car seat in Booster Mode* with Lap-Sash Seatbelt and our SecureGuard™ clip. The SecureGuard™ clip is an anti-submarining device designed to prevent slumping and reduce injuries in the event of an accident, making this booster even safer!

    Community Questions

    A: The safest place for your child in any vehicle is in the back seat. The center of the rear seat is preferable to outboard positions, as long as you can achieve a tight installation, because it is the furthest from a side impact.
    A: Booster seats differ from a harnessed car seat in that a booster seat, by definition, simply “boosts” the child up so that the vehicle seat belt is positioned correctly across the child’s hips and shoulder/middle of the chest. Booster seats rely on the vehicle seat belts to hold both the child and the booster seat in position. Harnessed seats have an internal harness system that is used to restrain the child.
    A: Each child restraint seat has a flame retardant cover which can be removed for cleaning. Cleaning instructions are on the care label attached to the cover. All child restraint seat covers are machine washable (gentle cycle), cold water only, rinse well, dry on flat surface, do not tumble dry, bleach or dry-clean.
