Our toddler has always been an early riser so we tried this as way of keeping her in bed for longer. We tried using it right before she turned 3. Initially the novelty worked for a few nights but that didn’t last. The product itself does what is intended however I think it may just depend on the child as to whether it will work. Worth a shot but just manage your own expectations around this being the solution!

Useful for young kids who understand the concept of staying in bed until it’s the morning but don’t know how to tell the time yet. Best for 3-4 year olds. Our son loved this, it gave him a sense of independence and accomplishment when he stayed in bed until the sun came up on his clock. Same with our daughter but she eventually worked out how to push the buttons on the clock to make the sun come up herself (sassy thing). Would be great to have a child lock or something on it to prevent the kids from playing with it.

We tried the Groclock at few different stages with my now 3 year old. They didn't grasp the concept when they were young, it wasn't until about 2.5 -3 they understood to stay in bed until the sun turned on and the star is bed time. My little one really enjoys the book that comes with the clock. Worth giving it a go even if it doesn't work for a few months keep trying.
