How 3 brands leveraged Tell Me Baby to drive sales and reviews

Share it

It’s no secret that reviews are the number one reason parents choose one product over another – and if they aren’t part of your marketing strategy, they should be.

That’s where Tell Me Baby comes in. We have a range of exciting new products that will help drive product reviews and sales for your brand. (Read all about them here.)

Don’t believe us? Here’s how 3 brands leveraged Tell Me Baby to drive reviews and sales.

1. ergoPouch

The challenge

ergoPouch produces a range of award winning, natural fibre baby swaddles, sleeping bags, sleep suit bags and more.

ergoPouch understood the importance of genuine reviews to drive sales conversions. They required a strategy that collected genuine reviews from customers, and to have those reviews displayed on an independent platform consumers could trust. This system also needed an easy call-to-action to purchase for potential customers.

The solution

ergoPouch joined the Tell Me Baby platform as a premium listed brand, and the Tell Me Baby community of parents were invited to submit reviews on ergoPouch products they had independently bought and tried. Community members were also motivated by the Tell Me Baby rewards program, as they were offered double points on all ergoPouch reviews for one month. This quickly increased the volume of ergoPouch reviews.

Each ergoPouch premium product page on Tell Me Baby has a ‘CLICK TO BUY’ button to facilitate conversions.

In addition, as a premium brand, ergoPouch were able to showcase their reviews on competitor product pages on Tell Me Baby using the native review ad.

The result

Tell Me Baby has collected and now displays over 500 genuine parent reviews of ergoPouch products. The popularity of this product range and the number of reviews captured meant ergoPouch won Best Sleeping Bag in the Tell Me Baby 2020 Awards, based on the high average star rating given by Aussie parents.

Their native review ad has appeared on competitor product pages  and achieved an impressive CTR of over 4%, tempting parents away from competitor product pages.

2. Little Bellies

The challenge

Little Bellies baby food range is designed to support every stage of natural child development, offering natural and organic food that’s suited to each age range.

Little Bellies recognised the importance of consumer reviews to lift brand credibility and help drive purchase consideration at the supermarket, so wanted to showcase a selection of reviews on their own website. Understanding that testimonials on a brand’s website can be viewed as untrustworthy by consumers, they recognised the need for reviews from a trusted, independent source.

The solution

As a premium Tell Me Baby client, Little Bellies has access to the TMB Review Widget. Installing this widget on their own website meant they were able to extend the influence of their Tell Me Baby reviews.

Consumers are able to clearly see that the reviews are from an independent and trusted source – and if they want to read more reviews they can easily click through to Tell Me Baby to access all the reviews on a particular product.

The result

Little Bellies now display Tell Me Baby reviews across all their products on their website with the Tell Me Baby Review Widget – ensuring that consumers know that these reviews are authentic and independent.

3. Nice Pak Products

The challenge

Nice Pak Products is the Australian distributor of a range of well known baby products including Infacol, Heinz Baby Basics, babyU, Sudocrem and Milton.

As a distributor of products to retailers, there is no direct relationship with the consumer, making it difficult to collect product reviews from existing customers.

Nice Pak Products recognised that reviews written by their target audience would help build brand equity and drive incremental sales via their retail partners, as digital marketing tools such as tellmebaby.com.au are a critically important step in the consumer decision-making process.

The solution

Nice Pak Products activated their premium listings for their products on independent product review website Tell Me Baby. By becoming a premium listing client, they were able to drive more traffic and engagement with their target audience, and to collect reviews written by genuine Australian parents who have tried their products.

The result

More than 1300 Australian parent reviews of Nice Pak Products have been published on Tell Me Baby since their listings went live.

Nice Pak Products will also extend the influence of these reviews, utilising the Tell Me Baby API feed to post the reviews on their own brand websites. This showcases their products’ popularity with consumers to potential retailers and stockists – helping, in turn, to drive more sales.
