Parents say the screen is big and they can see baby clearly. The long-range and the capability to purchase a second camera is also a plus. One reviewer said they love that it switches on when her baby makes a noise, “which makes me feel comfortable knowing that I will be alerted to her movements and sounds.”
A couple of parents found that the Oricom Secure850 Digital Video Baby Monitor w/ Pan-Tilt Camera displays the temp as 2 degrees warmer than it actually is – but they would still recommend this product.
“I recently purchased this monitor as an upgrade from the 710 model because I wanted the amazing function of the motorised pan-tilt. My daughter will be going into a toddler bed soon, and I wanted to have a camera, I can remotely move around the room- if she keeps getting in and out of bed. The picture quality is great. Also has lullabies and parent talk back. Great battery life and of course, excellent customer service from Oricom. Very happy.”

Parent Unit:
$289.00
Parents love that the owl head can be moved up and down and side to side from the parent unit. One parent wrote: “I love how the owl head can move around the room! Handy when my two-year-old climbs out of bed. Talkback feature is great as well when I need to say, get back into bed!”
The screen is large and clear; the lullabies and soothing sounds are also a bonus. Another reviewer said the range with the parent unit was “great”.
One reviewer, who has two cameras in separate room linked to the parent unit, said when you have it in split-screen mode, there is no sound. However, having the unit scanning between two bedrooms works well.
“Best monitor ever!!! It isn’t the cheapest around, but you certainly pay for what you get. This one has excellent camera quality, even in the middle of the night, you can clearly see bubs face. I like that it has songs pre-loaded into it to play and you can even talk to it. It is easy to mount onto the wall, and the head tilt is very wide, and you can look in just about every corner of the room. Super happy with this.”
