We got this in baby bundle from chemist Warehouse never try this one but when we got this as a sample we wanted to try for our Bub. We were always in bellamy’s organic from newborn because he is not happy with any other formula but it taste good so Bub love it so much.

We started out on Aldi’s Mamia brand from birth to approx 5 days old due to the discontinuation of their brand. (Bub loved this formula!)

We then moved onto Nan Pro which was the beginning of this nightmare you’re about to embark on.

My baby was gassy, crying, unsettled the list goes on. We asked out MCH nurse who suggested to stay on it for two weeks and wait it out. We did so for about 8-10 days. It didn’t get better.

We then called them back and said we were thinking of changing formula and after discussing options we changed to Nan Comfort. This is where we started getting runny, vinegar smelling poops and after a few days, tinged with blood. We saw our MCH who again suggested to wait it out as it could have been the change and the quantity of blood wasn’t concerning. We did for a few days as the blood didn’t get worse or better. After 5 days we went to see our GP who promptly took some stool samples and sent us to emergency (highly stressful time) where they did more test and after 6 hours discharged us with the suggestion that it was most likely the formula.

Once I got home we did more research and read that Blackmores has been amazing for problematic tummies. We purchased a tin right away.

Within 3 days the blood, runny poop and vinegar smell all stopped.

We’ve been using this formula for 5 months now and we couldn’t recommend this higher. So if you’re reading this and have had a few issues, please try and give this formula a go. We also recommend to another friend whose little boy had similar issues on Nan and he’s loved the transition to this brand.

We’re about to start Stage 2 now and we’re so thrilled we found this.

I had to give up breastfeeding unexpectedly at 10 weeks and began to mix my freezer stash with a big brand name formula. My baby thrashed about during feeds, strained to poo and was generally gassy and unhappy. We gave Blackmores a go and what a difference! The formula mix is so smooth and is more similar to breast milk in consistency, no gritty grains or bubbles. Baby took full bottles with ease, no wriggling during feeds, and less straining to poo. Every baby is different of course but this feels like a game changer for us! I noticed there are no fish ingredients in this formula unlike other big brands which might be the reason. Definitely no strong “formula” odour like other products.
