This is the best seat for smaller kids over ten years old. My son had outgrown his hi liner at the age of ten, but was still not meeting the five step rule for moving to an adult car seat.

After hours and hours of research I found the Kid guard Pro (same model as this one) at my local small baby shop. This seat was the best one around to meet his size, as there are really no others on the market to fit older kids that are small.

My son turned thirteen (in year 8) In April and has only just outgrown this seat and is able to meet the five step. I can not praise this seat enough for providing my son with a safe way to travel in the car. Thank you Britax - Safe and sound.

Pros - - fits smaller kids for longer

- has the anti submarine clip

- excellent head and torso protection
from side impact (which is width
adjustable)

- Very easy to transfer to multiple
vehicles

- Fit really well in our Kia Carnival

Cons - - Is a little expensive (but so worth it)

- Is quite tall when fully extended and
can block some rear vision

- at the higher settings did not fit very
well in our Ford Falcon sedan on the
side seats

Fitting three 5 point harness car seats was impossible for my car, and ended up purchasing the Britax Kid Guard and really like this Booster seat. I like the functions that can expand with a growing child and the seat is slightly more padded than some of the other brands, which is more comfortable for long distance driving. I especially like the anti-submarining secure guard as its another safety feature for the child sitting in the middle. Recently took the seat with us on a domestic trip, the seat folds up for a somewhat compact transportation, however the side wings doesn't fold in so makes it less compact but still acceptable. Would be an even better product if the seat can be locked in its folded position for transport, as it's awkward and inconvenient to carry by itself or in a carry bag (not a carseat carry bag) while walking; the seat flips open if your not holding onto it in the folded position, so you have to use two hands or hold it on its side against you.

Like all Britax products this booster is great quality. We love that it’s a slim fit not taking up too much space so the rest of the back seat is still usable. It’s adjustable in height and width and really does grow with your child. It’s also easy for my child to put her own seat belt on.
