As a mum, safety is always my top priority, and the Britax Safe-n-Sound Maxi Rider feels like a solid, reliable option at a more affordable price point. It’s well built and moderately slim, which helps when fitting multiple seats across the back. I bought this as a back up seat and would recommend spending a bit more so you get longer safe use.
The Maxi Rider only harnesses up to roughly 43 cm, then switches to a seatbelt booster until exit at roughly 49 cm. It’s worked well for us as a spare seat but if you’re after longer harness purchase a non convertible type G seat 51 cm.
Overall a practical, budget-friendly booster.

Purchased the as the next step for our toddler when our second came along after the success of our first Britax seat. Our toddler who is tall and broad shouldered for his age sits very comfortably in it and can easily climb in and out on his own thanks to the foldable handrests. It was very easy to install and is easy to clean when needed. I am a little disappointed that it does appear to be ageing aesthetically very quickly (less than 6 months) with fading on the handrests and peeling of the labels. This is a little disappointing given our little one doesn’t eat or drink in his seat.

We bought this car seat to fit 3 across in the back. It is definitely less bulky compared to the maxi guard pro+ where it does not have any cup holders or wide cushioning.

It is less expensive than other britax branded car seats but is still very comfortable and sturdy! Definitely a car seat to consider once you want to transition your child to a forward facing seat.

It is super easy to install and has the easy and convenient adjustable headrest. Also very easy to clean as the covers easily detach and are machine washable.
