Where do I start? I'm *that* first time mum who did ALL of the research when it came to car seats and capsules. I opted for the Nuna capsule for bub at birth, and then when we were looking for a car seat I couldn't go past the Britax Safe-n-Sound Platinum Pro TEX.

Why? Well, let's start with safety, the ratings on this car seat are great, and when it comes to bub, safety comes first. Then there's the design aesthetic and fabrics which are both easy to clean and comfortable. And trust me, when you have projectile vomit on a road trip, you will want a car seat that is easy to clean!

I also liked the longer rear-facing option, though admit I turned my little one around earlier than I had anticipated as he was becoming too frustrated rearward facing.

It's not the smallest car seat on the market, but it fits well in our Tiguan and has been a brilliant option for our little family.

This seat was purchased 2 years ago for my eldest. It has a lovely fabric that is durable and spill resistant! So easy to clean with all the snacks and dirt and mess a toddler makes. I love that it has extended rear facing options, however it is a larger seat compared to others on the market. So if you are looking for something compact or for a smaller vehicle this might not be for you. It is an all round quality made seat, when we eventually need to upgrade i will find it hard to look at anything else except a britax seat.

This car seat is easy to install with the isofix compatibility which means having only one for the family has worked for us. The straps are easy to loosen and can be hooked over the sides making it easy to get the baby in and out without getting tangled. Good value for money given it will last until baby is 4yo.
