This was great when my kids were newborns. The rest was designed to hold them up out if the water to remain as sage as possible while still be in the bath and getting cleaned. They didn't like the feel of the cold plastic against their backs though, so we added a bath rest cloth to make it more comfortable.

It holds bubs comfortably and allows the water to cover them to keep them feeling secure.
Especially when they are so little, it provides a little more comfort knowing they won’t wriggle out of your arms when they’re wet because they can get so slippery!

Very light weight and easy to use. My daughter used this since she was born and still in use and she is nine months. The fabric is really soft however that is abit stretchable which I didnot like that part. Overall, it is an useful item to buy for new baby only.
