I only had this cardigan for my fourth baby, but definitely wished I had had one from the start! My baby wasn’t rolling yet at 6 months old but had grown out of all the arms in swaddles and bags that I already had. He really loved being wrapped up so I used this over the top of the arms out bags. It was great to use as an in between arms in and arms out. Once he started rolling I left one arm out which worked well for that transition period. Also love the different positioning of the press studs, suits multiple sizes. Washes very well too. Highly recommend!

The butterfly cardigan is such a great alternative to the full zip up onesies. It’s great for summer where you want to tuck their arms in, but want to keep their bottom half cool. It also means that you can avoid buying different types of sleep suits as you can just layer this over your sleeveless ones

This little cardigan helped so much with the transition from arms in and swaddled, to arms out and in a sleeping bag. Bubs rolled quite early so we were on the back foot trying to work out the whole arms free thing. Eventually we got onto this cardigan which I wished we used much earlier. It has a double layer of press studs so when arms are in they are very secure and can't break out. Then when you're ready you can release one arm at a time by folding the material back. Because there's no zipper or studs for that part I would try to do it while bubs was sleeping. I suppose the only negative is that it worked so well we didn't use it for very long!
