Useful for young kids who understand the concept of staying in bed until it’s the morning but don’t know how to tell the time yet. Best for 3-4 year olds. Our son loved this, it gave him a sense of independence and accomplishment when he stayed in bed until the sun came up on his clock. Same with our daughter but she eventually worked out how to push the buttons on the clock to make the sun come up herself (sassy thing). Would be great to have a child lock or something on it to prevent the kids from playing with it.

We tried the Groclock at few different stages with my now 3 year old. They didn't grasp the concept when they were young, it wasn't until about 2.5 -3 they understood to stay in bed until the sun turned on and the star is bed time. My little one really enjoys the book that comes with the clock. Worth giving it a go even if it doesn't work for a few months keep trying.

Bought this as a way of trying to get my toddler to stay in her bed overnight rather than come to her parent’s bed. Initially, it was the novelty aspect of it that she liked but she hasn’t yet learnt that we would like her to stay in bed until the sun comes up. A bit tricky to set up and program but once you do it a few times, you get the hang of it. I like the child-lock feature as my daughter likes to mess around with the buttons. Needs to be turned on each night but that is supposed to be part of the nighttime ritual for the child anyway. Hopefully, when she’s older she’ll cotton on to how to use it properly!

The book it comes with is a fun way to try to teach your child how the clock works.
