Although we bought this specifically for the drop down side so we could be as close as possible to baby, we actually didn't end up using that. I had the side up and positioned the bassinet about 10cm from the edge of the bed so I could easily get in and out, but was still close to bub. We also never used the wheels - it's easier to just pick it up.

However, a feature we definitely used was the rocking. It was super helpful to get baby to sleep or to settle him when he stirred. It's not very loud either, and you can rock either from your bed or standing next to it.

We had some trouble packing it down to take on holidays, but once my husband watched a video on YouTube it was easy. Better than buying a whole other portacot for one holiday!

I used bassinet sheets on it and they fit okay. At four months he outgrew it and moved to a cot, but I don't regret buying this for the early months at all.

I love love this bedside sleeper , the size is great , the adjustable height makes it perfect for any bed . Love the fact that you can tilt the one side if you need too for reflux if needed . The only thing I would change is that the wheels only go backwards and forwards making it really hard to move around if you needed it too .

Some things I love about this bassinet:
- height is individually adjustable on each side, meaning I can put the bassinet on a tilt, which was great when my baby had reflux
- love that it has a rocking option. Great for when my baby needed to settle, I could rock the bassinet beside me without getting out of bed. It can lock too, so that you don’t rock when you don’t want to.
- it’s spacious, which suits my baby as he likes to roll around/kick and sleep with his arms out.
- it has mesh sides, so even if my baby wedges his face on the side, he can still breathe

Things I would change:
- I find the bassinet can’t be raised quite high enough even on the tallest setting, which means I have to crouch over to pick up/put down my baby, which can strain my stomach muscles, especially if I’m sitting on my bed. This is not great after having a cesarean. I do have a mattress topper, so my bed is slightly higher than average, but I think it would still be a bit too high even without it. This was the only major downside for me.
- the drop down side only has one setting - low but not flush to the bassinet mattress. It would be great if it could have multi height options to suit baby growth needs. A halfway up setting and an all the way down setting would be great.
- the wheels are small and plastic, and the brakes sometimes drop into an “on” position on their own, so I have to get up and flick them “off” again.
- The arm for the base/wheels stick out quite a bit and my husband and I have tripped over them multiple times. You can bend the arm in, but then you cannot move the bassinet. However it may have to be this wide for the bassinet stability, seeing as it rocks.

Overall love this product and would recommend! It’s thoughtfully designed, probably by people with their own children! I’m so glad I received it as a gift from family, otherwise it would have been a bit too pricey for me. Great item!
