This was a great pump for when I’d first had my kids. It’s hospital grade with multiple letdown and pumping settings. The fact that you can pump on both sides at once makes pumping easier, particular for a time poor mum of a newborn.

It is pricy but definitely worth it.

I used the Medela Symphony Double Electric Breast Pump when I was in hospital after giving birth and during another short hospital stay when my little one was about 4 months old. Initially the midwife recommended I use the pump to support initiating my milk supply. It is easy to use and I only needed to use it for 10 minutes maximum each side as it was effective. It is quiet to operate as most times I would pump next to my little one. Only negative is it wasn't more portable and you were 'stuck' pumping near a powerpoint.

Used this pump in the hospital and then rented it for a month or so when we got home and cannot rate it highly enough. Very efficient and easy to use and by pump standards. I also loved that it was a closed system so renting it was still a safe option as we could not afford to buy a pump of this value.
