Modibodi’s Reusable Nappy is simple to use, easy to clean, adjustable and super soft on delicate baby skin. It’s also the most absorbent reusable nappy on the market.*
Made from ultra-absorbent materials to keep baby dry, comfy and leak-free (helping reduce nappy rash) with a clever black lining which repels odour, stains and solids. Each nappy comes with a Reusable Nappy Booster which can be added for maximum overnight protection and a better sleep for baby … and you. Modibodi reusable nappies are an all-in-one design (like disposables).
*laboratory tested to hold up to 1026ml (with one Nappy Booster in place)

They are super absorbent and very soft. However I would not recommend this in the first few months as they are quite bulky and caused my Bub discomfort as they caused quite an arch in his back due to the bulky size.
Can't wait until Bub is a little bigger to retry these

First impressions when I felt the modibodi reusable diaper is a luxurious, soft feel with such exciting colours. My husband even commented that they looked so nice, LO didn't need to wear pants anymore! We have always used disposables and this is our first try with reusables. First day use was not great. But it was actually my problem in not tightening the velcro tight enough and my LO would leak over the front. Subsequent days use we had no issues at all with LO doing number 2 twice. Pros-we know its better for the environment. Initially sceptical about the bamboo sheets, they are soft and thin. But thoroughly impressed that it works and did not tear! Poos are easy to deal with. Cons-it is a one size fits all which should last to 18kg. I have a 2 yo 14 kg but tall LO and we do not think it will fit him much longer as it will be too short length wise. However, we have another on the way and definitely using these too!

Having used re-usable nappies almost exclusively (all but night time) for close to 5 years now - I know what works and what doesn't in a nappy. And I can tell you these ModiBodi nappies are a game changer! Not only are they gorgeous, they just work so well! For reference my boy is just over 2yo and approx 15kgs.
The ease of the design mean they are exactly like putting on a disposable nappy. Often bub is in-between sizes with the stock-standard press buttons of reusable nappies - this can cause either leakage, or the nappy being too tight on bubba and you end up with red circle marks on their skin from the tight buttons which I always feel bad about, poor bub! But the ModiBodi nappies use a soft velcro instead which means the nappies fit exactly to your baby's size, and also make it so much quicker to put on! No more trying to do up buttons while your bub wriggles around, moving the inserts out of place and you have to start all over again - as I've said they become exactly like putting on a disposable. With the moisture absorbing layer built-in instead of having a separate insert to add in (you can see this in the line-drying photo), they are one a piece wonder- very convenient. And this also means no more spending half an hour 'folding nappies' on the lounge room floor. You can of course add the booster for night time or maybe a long travel journey, but the fact you don't NEED to is just so good as a mumma, one less thing to do!
Not long into our parenting journey we had to stop using reusable nappies during the night as no matter how many boosters, they just never held enough liquid. And if ever they did - my kids would get rashy from sleeping wet all night.
That was until now! The ModiBodi nappies wick the liquid away from bubs skin instead of holding it next to their skin. My boy had a nappy on all night last night - until around 730am (12 hours) and even did a very decent sized poo in them - and you wouldn't have known at all. His pyjamas were completely dry, there was no spillage at all, no leaking out the sides that we get from his usual disposable nappies in these instances, and his skin was fine, no rashes or wet skin. In fact, these ModiBodi nappies hold wees and poos much better than the well know brand nappy pants we've been using of a night time. I also accidentally left a nappy on my son for too long the other day too and the nappy held up so well, again you wouldn't have known.
These nappies wash and dry exactly like any reusables we've ever had. You can wash them like normal on a long cycle (nappies need enough water to wash properly so add in a pre-wash and extra rinse cycle if your machine has this option) after removing solids and you can tumble dry on low in you need to. When line-drying, I always hang my nappies inside out so they dry quicker and the design doesn't fade - ModiBodi recommend this as well. See photos for reference.
I also love how these nappies are black! Anyone who has used reusables in the past knows they can stain so the black design here is perfect.
To sum up - the ModiBodi nappies are well worth the $35 each which is a standard price for a good reusable nappy anyway. I can't wait to buy more and will be using these exclusively for the next bub. Amazing work ModiBodi!
