I have two of the medium size Penny Scallan kids backpacks, in the ‘Anchors Away’ and ‘Rainbow Days’ print. We use them as everyday kids bags - as one might use a nappy bag - and as daycare bags for our 3.5 and 1yo children. One bag has made it through three years of use, and while there’s some light marking up on the cording and the handle, I haven’t put in a lot of effort to clean it up. The 3yo bag has also had a zip-tag break off, but the zip itself still works, so we’ve just added a key ring to make it easy to grab. The bags are machine-washable, which is a big plus in my books. The bags are water resistant, which is handy for miserable weather days and spilled drinks. I think these bags are worth the investment over a generic big store brand.

I bought the big city backpack (medium) for my son when he started day care. Its a wonderful size for him. Fits his lunchbox, hat, jumper and drink bottle on the side. He loves the design so I also bought the matching umbrella and raincoat. The only con is that these backpacks aren't cheap.

I got this for my son for childcare and absolutely love it! The design is so perfect for kids and it’s super functional. Each pocket/space is great and works perfectly for the needs of a child and what they need to carry. The material is also great quality and easy to clean. Highly recommend!
