My sister was using these bumpers when her daughter was growing up and I never knew if these were of any help. I only realised the importance of these a month back when my daughter starting crying after having her leg stuck in the cot railings. So I borrowed 2 sets of these from my sis and I have peace of mind that my daughter is safe and won't get hurt however wriggly she is. These are nice and soft, easily washable and come in beautiful prints to suit everyone's taste. The only drawback is that these take days together to dry up, specially in the ever changing weather of Melbourne.

These are a fantastic idea as when my daughter was going through the throwing herself around the cot stage. (When she first started to roll and crawl) these little bumpers where an absolute god send as it saved her hitting her head on the edge of the cot. I was very nervous about using them prior to her being able to move and roll around so in this case I didn't use them until my daughter was big enough to move around and it wasn't a SIDS issue.

I was told that we should use bumpers for new bubs with my second pregnancy which was strange as it was encouraged with the first. That aside I didn't use these bumpers during the first six months but when Bub got her hand stuck in the cot rail we decided to give these a go. It fits so nicely, is secure and gives me peace knowing that Bub can't get stuck in through the rails. Not necessary but handy.
