I bought this nappy bin while I was pregnant, I had done some research prior and was hoping that the sangenic design would block odours from wafting through bubs nursery. At first the bin was a bit fiddly to figure out, but I quickly got the hang of it. I find the bin fills up really quickly, needing to be emptied every few days. After a few months of use, the inside of the bin smelled disgusting, even though it had never directly touched a dirty nappy. I have had to put cotton wool balls of peppermint oil at the bottom of the bin to help neutralise the odour. I still unfortunately get whiffs of soiled nappy so it really doesn’t block all the odours. To use this bin you require their refills which are extraordinarily expensive and get used very quickly so there is ongoing costs involved with continued use. It would have a lot quicker, easier, cheaper and probably less smelly to just keep a plastic bin bag next to the change table and to take that out to the bin every night before bed. I thought this was a must have item, but I realised I was suckered into an expensive product, that’s got high ongoing costs, that doesn’t really solve the problem that it is marketed as to solve. Overall, it’s okay, it is a bin, but it’s not the be all and end all of bins.

Overall my husband and I are glad we made the purchase for this nappy bin before our baby was born. It has now gone through two babies and still just as effective. It is easy to use and such a smart idea to hold in the smell and not having smells lingure around your house. Highly recommend.
