Parents have enough stuff to carry around when they have a baby, so having a bulky, heavy pram is the last thing they need. So which are the best lightweight prams?
To help you figure that out, the Tell Me Baby community has rated the best lightweight prams they’ve tried, and they’ve shared their opinions on what has, or hasn’t, worked for them.

Suitable from birth with an optional bassinet, super-sized basket and reversible, three-position seat, the Redsbaby METRO³ is lightweight weighing 6.9kg (frame).
Parent review: “I purchased the reds baby metro 3 pram in Hunter (green) colour. Very nice colour that matched the description and colour online. It’s a solid lightweight pram. Very functional! It’s easy to fold and load into the car. I was looking for a lighter weight pram with lots of basket space and big wheels and this pram met my requirements.”

At just 63cm slim at the wheelbase, the Mountain Buggy Duet converts from a single buggy with loads of storage to a double side-by-side, and it weighs 14.5kg (includes frame, wheels, gear tray, fabric sling seat, grab bar.)
Parent review: “My Mother purchased this pram to use with my twins when we visit her. We chose this one as it was a good price and quality. It is a great lightweight pram that fits well through tight spaces. It’s easy to manoeuvre on paved surfaces but doesn’t go off-road as well as my other pram. It is easy to put up and down and doesn’t take up too much space in the boot.”

A popular pram in the Tell Me Baby community, the Baby Jogger City Mini GT weighs 9.5kg.
Parent review: “The city mini GT has a tonne of great features with the main one being how easy it is to push on grass and rough surfaces (we live near acreages). I love the large SPF 50+ hood, which meant I didn’t have to worry about my baby getting sunburnt or resorting to using a mesh covering over the pram and risk overheating. It’s such a lightweight pram for how sturdy it is and its high weight capacity. The only downside is not being able to have baby facing me and the basket is quite small compared to many other brands.”

The Bugaboo Cameleon 3 Plus offers all the practical features parents know and love in a Bugaboo Cameleon. Importantly, it weighs 9.6kg.
Parent review: “This pram is expensive but well worth the money. It comes with both the bassinet and seat attachments. You can choose which colour canopy you would like which makes it very customisable. My only issue is that the canopy can be flimsy at times and the attachment falls off easily. The wheels are suitable for many different terrains. It is lightweight and very easy to assemble on the go.”

The Bugaboo Ant is Bugaboo’s lightest, most compact stroller weighing 7.2kg (chassis, wheels, seat).
Parent review: “We recently used the ant on a family holiday, and it has me considering buying one for our toddler. It’s surprisingly roomy. I have a tall toddler, and she fits in it with room to spare. It’s so small when it’s folded down, and takes up barely any boot space. For such a lightweight pram, it doesn’t feel flimsy at all. I’m very impressed with it.”

Built on the ultralight chassis of their Snap model, the Valco Baby Snap Ultra weighs just 9kg (with wheels).
Parent review: “I wanted a pram that was lightweight, compact and easy to get in and out of the car without compromising on stability. I also didn’t want to spend a fortune. The snap ultra ticks all those boxes. The wheels are big enough to go over uneven ground but the pram itself is not big and bulky. The basket is a great size. Very happy with this pram.
