If possible, go natural! Products that are organic, toxic-free and made from natural ingredients, are a lot gentler on a baby’s skin. Babies have a natural barrier to protect and lock in moisture; however, using products that contain soap can ruin this, causing the skin to dry out and possibly lead to other skin conditions.

The truth is, a baby bath isn’t essential. First, think about where you will bath your baby and go from there. Alternatives to a bath include the kitchen or laundry sink, the shower (try a mesh shower sling) or you can add an insert into your regular bath.
If you are in the market for a baby bath, there are plenty of options available to suit everyone’s needs and budget. Think about whether you would like a plastic tub, something that is collapsible, or one with a stand which can be placed on any hard surface.
