When my daughter began toilet training this was the first product we tried. It seemed as though it would be a good option for a beginner trainer however it was unsuccessful for us. It was a good quality product however I found the cushion/toilet seat part was a little big and overall difficult to set up when I toddler needs the toilet promptly. However with all that being said for a toddler or child who is older and more able to go the toilet unattended it would probably serve them better!

I'd say it's not ideal for young kids for toilet training since they can't really climb up and down themselves and might not have enough support when sitting. But my daughter has been using it since she was about 3 and loves being independent in going to the toilet. It's light weight and folds up easily enough that she can put it on the toilet herself and climb up. The only thing I don't like is, I wish the foot rest was easier to wipe clean. It does collect dust and dirt in the grooves and the occasional spill or wee splatter is difficult to wipe off.
