A night light is a parent’s saving grace for those middle of the night feeds and nappy changes – but the wrong type could end up hindering your baby’s sleep. So which is the best night light for you?
The Tell Me Baby community has rated the best night lights they’ve tried and shared their opinions on what has, or hasn’t, worked for them.
Based on their night light reviews, we’ve put together a list of the top night lights our community loves.
From Tommee Tippee, the Gro Company Groegg is the perfect baby light, but there’s another feature that parents are raving about: it doubles as a room thermometer. The exact room temperature is displayed on a large digital display. It also glows different colours, helping parents determine how warm they need to dress their baby for bed.
“I bought a Gro Egg, and it’s changed my life. I love that I know the temperature of the room and it helps me choose clothing and no longer am I guessing about the swaddle or blanket situation,” one mum wrote in her review.

Featuring a soft-glowing light, the Safety 1st Shell Nightlight allows parents to easily check on baby at night without waking them with a full-strength light source. Parents say they love the light has a sensor, so it turns off during the day and brightens as it gets darker.
“Not super bright that it disturbs baby’s sleep but bright enough to see during night time feeds and nappy changes. It’s good for the price,” said one parent.
