I was gifted an older model of this from a friend. Completely easy to use and no fuss. Cleaning it is super easy with minimal parts making it easy to re assemble. The only negative feedback I have is the suction doesn’t seem as good so other pumps but this might not be an issue with the newer models. Definitely recommend this brand of breast pump. Worth the investment

The medela solo is truely and incredible machine. It is very gentle especially during the beginning stages of learning how to express. The battery is one of the best’s I have seen and only requires charging once every few days when regularly expressing for a new born. Although it is only a single pump meaning it takes double the time to finish an expressing session.

I had a second hand Tommee Tippee pump ready in case I needed it. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it to work. The next day I went and bought the Medela Solo as it was the only pump I could get that day living in a rural area. It was so easy to use and worked right away, which was a massive relief for this tired, stressed mama! I later borrowed a double breast pump from my local hospital but I love the portability of the Solo. I could push Bub in the pram to get him to sleep while pumping at the same time! A double pump might be easier next time to save time, but this is a great, affordable option for someone who is only pumping occasionally. It is also very easy to clean, all the bottle parts can go in the dishwasher. Highly recommend!
