NAN COMFORT 1 is a whey dominant infant starter formula from cow’s milk. It also comes in hygienic, innovative packaging and is nutritionally complete for healthy infants from birth.
Pros: NAN COMFORT is a popular formula choice for the Tell Me Baby community. Parents say it mixes easily, and that they haven’t had any tummy issues.
Cons: Some parents did say their baby wasn’t settled on this formula. One reviewer said one downside is that it expires three weeks after opening.
“We came across NAN COMFORT after searching for a softer on our twin’s tummy type of formula. We found it was easy to use and readily available and chemists and grocery stores. From a price point, I would say it’s an affordable product from reputable company. This is definitely a formula I would consider again if need be. Great product!”

Nestlé NAN OPTIpro 1 is a premium whey dominant starter infant formula from cow’s milk. It’s specially designed to help ensure your formula-fed infant receives balanced, high-quality nutrition. NAN OPTIPRO 1 also features hygienic packaging (the scoop is stored in a separate area), and there’s a semi-transparent window, so you to see how much is left.
Pros: Parents said NAN OPTIPRO 1 is easy to mix and has a smooth consistency. “We had no issues with consistency, wind, discomfort,” wrote one mum.
Cons: Some parents did find their baby was unsettled on this formula, as well as being constipated. A couple said the cost was on the pricier side.
“We had to switch to formula after some breast milk supply issues. With so many on the market we were unsure what to use. We decided on this and our daughter loves it! We have had no issues with gas or vomiting. Love that this formula is affordable and works well”

NAN SUPREMEpro 1 is a premium partially hydrolysed starter infant formula from cow’s milk. When a formula says it is hydrolysed, it means the milk proteins have been broken down into smaller components. This baby formula comes in the same great hygienic and handy packaging as NAN COMFORT and NAN OPTIPRO.
Pros: One parent said this formula worked well for her baby. Another wrote it “appears to have great taste with minimal side effects such as reflux, constipation/diarrhea.”
Cons: Price was a big con for many parents. One reviewer wrote: “Whilst it’s a good formula, it is pricier than the others, so we had to switch over to another nan formula.”
Other parents commented on the iron content.
“It worked well but has a high iron content, which she was pooping right out, so we were advised to change to the nan opti 1.”
“My son was started on this formula in hospital and it was great! He liked it and it helped him put on weight as he really struggled. It also helped me while my milk came in, took off the stress as my son was losing weight and he needed more help with his milk and this did the trick. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive as I would have loved to continue this!”
