My Bub was breastfed and when I sent her to daycare at 6 months I had a really hard time with her taking to a bottle. She would simply refuse more than 10-20ml from the bottle. I came across this and in desperation ordered one online as I could not get them in any shops locally. Bub took to it straight away and it really does replicate the work she was used to putting in to control her feeds. Lifesaver for me with daycare.

This is worth the investment for a breastfed baby versus the standard Medela test that comes with the bottle and breast pump. It seems to have a slower output and require a more natural sucking action. I managed to use this teat for top ups and eventually get baby back to just breastfeeding rather than expressed bottles.

This teat was recommended to me by a midwife/lactation consultant as I was express breastmilk feeding due to a latch issue. My daughter was able to latch on to this teat better than the other brand we had at home and it encouraged her to latch and suck. It is expensive for a teat but I think it is worth it for mums switching between breast and bottle or for newborns with latch issues.
