Fisher-Price and Elyse Knowles reveal beautiful new collection of must-have baby items
With so many baby products out on the market, it’s good to have a brand you know and trust. And now Fisher-Price has revealed a new collaboration with first-time mum, model, entrepreneur and winner of The Block, Elyse Knowles. Since she and her partner Josh Barker welcomed baby Sunny into the world last February, the busy mum has quickly worked out what she needs in her nursery, and together, she and Fisher-Price have developed a stunning collection of baby items that offer chic and practical solutions for first time parents and carers.
“I’m so excited to share this collection that Fisher-Price and I have worked on together,” says Elyse. “It’s a beautiful range of nursery essential designed to support you and your baby in those early stages.
Inspired by nature
Combining Fisher Price’s expertise and history with Elyse’s creative eye and passion for the Australian outdoors, this gorgeous collaboration is made up of six products in custom-designed fabric in soothing earth and sky tones. “I spend a lot of time playing outside with my bub Sunny and was so inspired by the beautiful scenery we see every day, and I wanted to weave this through the designs in the collection,” says Elyse. “It was really important to me to evoke a sense of peace, calm and joy in each and every piece and I think the colours and patterns do just that.”
Space-saving ideas
Often when a baby arrives into a household there is little room to spare, so products you choose need to work with the space you have. This is something that Elyse and Fisher-Price have very much considered, as each item has been designed to save on space. The Spacesaver Highchair ($99) means that parents can enjoy all the benefits of a full-size highchair in a portable version that fits most dining chairs: you can adjust the seat’s tray position for ultimate comfort then transform it into a toddler booster when the time is right. A great settler
Those early days of parenting can be hectic to say the least, especially when it comes to settling a newborn. Elyse’s collection includes the Soothing View Bassinet ($139), the perfect portable cradle that offers bub comfort anywhere you go. A gentle push is all you need to calm and soothe baby to sleep. Mesh sides are cool and breathable while the feet lock for stationary sleeping. And best of all, when you’re ready to go, it collapses to a slim fold of under 10cm.
“For us it was about having a chair that we could take away with us,” Elyse told 9Honey. “The Fisher-Price Bassinet we can take travelling when we are with friends or camping. This was essential.” (Launching November 2021.)
